Went to go see this again last night! What an excellent movie. Between having seen the film once before and reading the book I actually managed to keep up with what was happening, which (although it removed the suspense) quite enhanced the experience.

Moral of the story: If you haven’t seen Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, go do so. If you have done (or even if you haven’t, I suppose), I recommend the novel. And if you’re wondering if the movie is worth a second viewing, the answer to that is YES (if only for Gary Oldman, Colin Firth & dear sweet weirdfaced Benedict Cumberbatch).

Finished Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy this morning! It was excellent! Took a minute to get all the names straight in my head (reading it in 20 minute spurts on the train probably didn’t help with that), but once I got in the swing of things it was all gravy. I do want to see the film again now— luckily it’s still in theaters. Reckon I’ll try to catch it this weekend. Haven’t been to the movies in a while anyway (since Christmas… the last time I saw TTSS).
