All this recent hullabaloo about Google’s tracking and ad targeting and privacy invading is interesting to me because I’m on the other side of it than most people. You visit my website? You’re gonna see my ads, following you around the internet. I’m working on a program to target new customers based on their browsing habits and demographic information. So all that stuff that’s getting all y’all all riled up? It’s enabling me to do my job better and more efficiently.
Granted, I’m probably not what people are worried about, and no, I’m not too keen on a hyper Orwellian future, but it’s a bit funny to see everyone getting all indignant when I have a completely opposite agenda.
