Will it still work as ID if it’s Harpo’s face on my arm?

I mean, I’m not saying I would, but I’m not saying I wouldn’t, either.

This is my anchor tattoo. I mostly got it because of the book “It’s kind of a funny story” and the way the main character has what he calls “anchors”, which are the things in life he loves and enjoys or things that keep him going. I got mine to remind me of all the reasons to keep living, and everything that has helped me to survive. (theres-no-shame-in-drifting.tumblr.com)

Anchor tattoos are oftentimes super cliché and dumb but this one’s awful pretty.

HEY Y’ALL LOOK WHAT MY MOM JUST EMAILED ME! Way to be awesome, Mom.

Kinda want to fast-track it to the top of my tattoo list, just gotta figure out the placement…

Wish I knew who made this because I reckon it would make a pretty bitchin’ tattoo. And it would kinda coordinate with my TH one.

Just remembered that I found butter temporary tattoos in my room at my parents’ house.

That’s right. Butter. Temporary. Tattoos. It’s OK if you have difficulty processing my awesome.

I also had a This American Life tattoo which was so incredibly badass that I fear may have gotten lost in the shuffle over the years. I hope not…

I got tattoo of a lupin last year for my mom. When my sister and I were little she used to read us a book called “The Lupin Lady”.

Miss Rumphius tattoo FTW. Anything Barbara Cooney related gets an automatic thumbs up(/reblog) from me.

Hey Ma, ya like my new tattoo?

(Just kidding, it’s from here. But, like… I would totally get that.)

I first became submerged in Tolkien literature as a kid and needless to say it has been a constant through my whole life. I’ve always been fascinated with not only Middle-Earth and the Lord of the Rings, but with it’s creator and how it all came to be. This tattoo (inside my right bicep) is written in Sindarin script, language of the Elves, and says “I aear can ven na mar” which translates to “the sea calls us home”. I am originally from a small beach town in Southern California, and since I moved a couple years ago to the East Coast I never feel home unless I’m near the ocean. This tattoo was done on 3/11/11 by Todd at Electric Ink Tattoo, Woodstock, GA.

I love this.

Having spent all day with “3.14” and “E=MC^2” written on my fingers, I’ve become somewhat convinced that they would make pretty badass knuckle tattoos.

(If I were to ever get knuckle tattoos. Which I most likely won’t. You can start breathing again, Mom & Dad.)
