G FORCE: A frank discussion at Fenway
- Jose Magrass, 32, a lifelong West Roxbury resident and Red Sox fan, figured out a way to attend every home game for free: In 1998 he became a Fenway Park food vendor.
Considering adding this to the Dream Jobs list.
I’m on the bus back to New York now (which is why I was catching up on the afternoon’s worth of posts).
I had a truly wonderful couple days. Though I didn’t do the Grand Walking Tour of town like I did last time, I had a great ole time. Seeing friends (human and seal), getting writing done (only a few pages, but that’s more than I’ve done all year, and I don’t think it’s total crap), visiting my favorite places, going to church (I booked it over the hill but ended up a couple minutes late anyway, and all sweaty, to boot), and just letting myself exist and have that be enough.
Love you, as always, Beantown, baby, and I hope to see you again real soon!
I love the Red Sox so much, y’all.
Anyway, it’s 4:30 now and my bus isn’t until 6, but I’m pretty pooped from running all over town, so I’m chillin’ at Dunkin’ (and drinking my 3rd coffee of the day) before I head back over to South Station.
