I finally watched The Company Men! It was super good (um, obviously, it had Chris Cooper) but also pretty depressing. I still recommend it, though!
One thing that did totally throw me for a loop was they have various clips from Marketplace throughout, which is pretty cool, but confused the heck outta me when I paused my KQED stream, hit “play” on the movie, and heard Kai Ryssdal’s voice.
So it just occurred to me that I should use my amazon.com (not amazon.ca… what’s the website for that?) credit from when this happened to buy October Sky (aka my FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME*) on DVD. And I’d still have enough to get Rocket Boys. DAMNNNNNNN.
*Also marks the start of my love/obsession with both Jake Gyllenhaal and, more importantly, Chris Cooper.
For some reason I always forget that Chris Cooper is in The Bourne Identity so I start the movie off all “Damn Matt Damon look at your fine self” and then CC shows up and I’m like “HOLY CRAP I would marry the FACE off that man.”
Love U Chris Cooper!
(I know this picture isn’t from TBI but I Google Image Searched and it came up and I like it so there.)
WOOK AT HIS WIDDLE FACE!!!!
Oy, sorry, guys. All this press for The Town is really bringing out my Chris Cooper obsesh. (Not that it’s ever really latent…)
You might think that this picture of Chris Cooper chatting up Don Draper (Jon Hamm…sorry, couldn’t resist the double alliteration situation) in the Red Sox dugout is the best picture out of Boston.com’s gallery of The Town’s Fenway Park premiere. Though, yeah, it’s pretty cool, it ain’t the best.
