This really tells the story better than anything I have seen so far. If you need to look at one thing to understand what the iPad is, this is it.

So, aside from the fact that I am a total Apple fangirl and love everything that comes out (almost), and aside from the fact that just about every aspect of the iPad already has me salivating, using Star Trek and True Compass as your movie and book examples are a sure way to win my heart.
