Canning Adventure #2 went quite a bit more smoothly than #1, although I have to order that canner already to really make it work. Two pints and two half pints (of cider half drunk up amirite) of pickles all canned beautifully! Well, one of the half pints lived up to its runty nature and made like it hadn’t canned properly at first, but it succumbed to peer (and air) pressure and the button popped on down.
I now have five (total, including the 2 runts) pints of canned pickles hangin’ out being shelf-stable and a coupla half-full olive jars of extra chillin’ in the fridge. Yahoo!
Also, between the pickles, pie, and apples’n’onions I am going to be just fine not slicing another apple or onion for a while. Or at least until next weekend.
