Snow Shuffle
Greenpoint was the same as always, and I managed to make it to work on time (early, even), despite the fact that I was doing the Sad Snow Shuffle the whole way. I’ve trained my bare feet to navigate rocky river banks and duff-covered forest floors, not be-booted treks along slushy, ice-and-snow covered sidewalks. Stress-bot
Last night I dreamed that when I came out of the subway, I was in a completely different part of Greenpoint and had no idea where I was. I wandered around for ages trying to find my way and didn’t recognize any streets except for McGuinness Blvd, which, even though I followed it, didn’t lead me anywhere helpful. “If you’re going to call yourself a news network, then cover the news.”
– Rachel Sklar, MSNBC criticized for response to terrorism story (via soupsoup / winstonwolfe) Why is the WaPo preferred style “Web site” instead of website? I find this highly irritating. I just checked and the New York Times does it too so I’m sure everyone else must but can we change this please?...
